Beautiful little Aria. A very happy Easter to you all! What a pleasure to shoot this family. It never feels like work when everybody is so easygoing and happy to have a chilled Sunday morning shoot..
WOWSERS.. I am VERY chuffed to say I have been been shortlisted for the Regional Wedding Photographer Award and the National finalist for best wedding website too.. There’s a big award ceremony soon that I am desperately hoping to attend but if not,I shall be at home with my fingers crossed. Its so exciting to be nominated for something as the last thing I won was 2nd year skipping at school! Check out the organisers here..
THANK YOU everyone for supporting me and reading my blog posts, facebook page and booking me! I adore what I do and love the excitement of a wedding day. I appreciate every single ‘like’ and comment and have a little office chair dance everytime I get a nod from someone out in the online world.. even though I am having fun with about 100 wedding guests most Saturdays, I do spend way too much time in my home office by my lonesome!
Thank you thank you.
Lovely Sussex! another great day in the beautiful south and a gorgeous wedding at Broyle Place and The Sussex Barn at Hellingly. This whole wedding was unique and effortless – really thoughtful details – and a very relaxed and charming day. They had chosen the Sussex barn for its relaxed feel and filled the place with old leather chesterfield sofas and hay bails, a festival-type buffet with 3 different (and amazingly scrumptious) caterers. The barn had long rustic tables with summer flowers and old school chairs – it really had a cosy feel and I loved the styling – very folk/contemporary/funky. I love this look right now, and their guests had this VERY cool style which brought the whole thing together.
I definitely have a new award for best groom speech of 2013 – Dave – it was, as all good groom speeches should be, heartfelt, honest and lovely. No big script – just perfect – and I have heard many good ones. I was so chuffed to shoot these two very tall supermodels on their wedding day. Extra special award goes to them for best megawatt smiles at a wedding. Congratulations to you both and your very friendly family.. I loved it.
(Swing dance lesson (brilliant fun) provided by the amazing Natatsha at Swing Time Dance, Pizza by Pizza Pilgrims, Salad stall by Salad Days (my goodness the halloumi..) and the Hog, hen, Lamb roast were fantastic)
What a long wait to shoot this wedding! There was such a buzz in the house when I arrived but everyone was on time and enjoying themselves. Charlie was in the middle of it all without a care in the world which made for a very happy bride. Hair and make up beautifully created by Gary Forde & Sean Chapman The best flowers by Fleurs Florist. Annoyingly the rain decided to stick around, but as always, did not change anyone’s mood. The house was still full of fun – which set the mood for the entire day.
We gathered at the Church of St John the Baptist in Capel, Surrey, and everyone squeezed into the beautiful church. after the largest confetti shower I have seen this year, Charlie and Jason raced off in their vintage white MG back home to party in the garden. The stunning colourful décor of the marquee overwhelmed you as you came in – the bright colours perfectly reflected Charlie & Jason’s attitude and all their friends! The food (the FOOD!) was the best I have seen all year by Julia Robinson Catering and it showed by the amount of people taking pictures of everything that came out of the kitchens.
Thank you all for being such good sports, such good fun and making me and sarah feel like your guests. Thank you lovely Sarah from Sarah Morris Photography for working alongside me all day to make sure we got everyone! The champagne gift was something else. I didn’t need to love my job anymore – but then I just did.
Much love and enjoy Santorini!!!!!!!
A wedding on a stage you say? Absolutely! What an interesting venue in Tunbridge Wells Salomons is.. An old theatre, gorgeous gardens and lake plus a secret museum room. Perfect for another summers wedding dodging the rain and only having the good bits. I have been lucky shooting this year, no wellies yet!
Elaine and Michael put a great deal of thought into this day and looked after their family and friends beautifully. A day that will be remembered for ever.. Thank you to the great bridesmaids – you made the day so easy for me to do my job.. loved it all! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bailey! I look forward to hearing all about your amazing travels around the world for years to come.. x
At the start of this beautiful heatwave was Chris & Bec’s wedding in Hampshire.. They seem to kick off this gorgeous summer with their sunflower details and sunny guests. It was such a good day. As there were at least 10 professional event people in the room you’d think the planning and execution would be perfect – of course you’d be right.. everyone worked hard to make the day perfect – especially the Groom, Chris..! Thank you to everyone at the White Horse in Chilgrove, W.Sussex and as always the excellent Tithe Barn and the Park House Hotel for starting their lives with such style..
Some weddings you just don’t mind how far they are away from home.. this is one of them! Mel & Hywel’s perfect luxurious low key weekend in the stunning Monmouthshire’s Wye Valley. Being a Berkshire/Hampshire lass I am used to outstanding areas of natural beauty but this place is something else. I could do a whole post just of that, but today I shall focus on my old friend, Mel and her handsome prince.
The very perfect pub, The Bell at Skenfrith, looked after us all weekend with amazing food & wine (picked expertly by our hosts) great company and the most glorious sunshine. Thank you everyone – it was amazing..
Huge congratulations to you both! Lets do it all again for your 1st anniversary!
p.s. Mel. Told you. You look damn good in a dress 😉
Up in London Town for a gorgeous spring wedding. Corinne and Chris do weddings ever so well! We spent the morning getting ready at the stunning Blakes Hotel (perfect for first night and anniversaries people – Hemple designed) and then to the magnificent Royal Hospital Chapel, and home of the famous WW2 Chelsea Pensioners – and home to Albert, our red coated resident who proudly looked after us and stood guard at the Chapel. He also needed to go back to his apartment for a lie down after seeing ‘too many beautiful girls’ at this wedding.
An amazing day and wonderful afternoon at Blakes including burgers served by a funky American retro fire truck/burger van! Speeches were hilarious and very heart felt and then on to the dancing. Such fantastic music from Seb Fontaine all night.. wish I could have stayed longer but was exhausted.
Congratulations C&C! You make such a beautiful couple.. And you looked damn fine in Alexander McQueen, Dior and the men in Ralph Lauren.. oh couture… sigh.. heavenly.
